The Under Armour story is about innovation. CEO Kevin Plank's goal was to change the way athletes dress and give them unprecedented advantages. UA revolutionized the athlete's baselayer, but continues to innovate every layer --- from base to mid to outerwear. Lighter-weight performance fabrics built for mobility and comfort keep you warmer than competitor products.
Awesome cushion, awesome size. Just above the heel of the shoes. If you are in the market for low height socks, these are worth consideration.I managed to go decades without ever wearing an ankle-length sock, it just wasn't a thing I need or had an interest in. But I was prompted to buy some a while back and this set was the best in terms of price point per pair. I don't normally buy name brand socks, but these Under Armour ones are pretty nice. They are thick enough to offer some real padding but not too thick to prevent you wearing them with almost any type of shoe. They run roughly true to size. They are indeed essentially 'no show' socks when worn with shoes. Depending on the layout of your own foot, they may rise to just under your ankle to on it, but I don't think they'd go up over the ankle on anyone. The color has stayed fairly true throughout all the washings. Because they are mostly cotton, they breathe pretty well; I've never noticed my feet getting unusually hot or sweaty while wearing these socks. The only downside I've noticed is that they do seem to shrink slightly when washed and dried. They still fit fairly well, and of course over time have stretched to where I want them, but that initial shrinkage did happen.Overall these are good socks. If you are in the market for low-cut, no show socks in black, these are a very good set to get. These socks were bought by me about two years ago and when I bought them, they were a heck of a deal. I'm a runner so I need clothing like this to make running easier and whatnot. I got on with the intention to get some good quality socks for a decent price. For the price of these socks, you will get some decent socks, but I'm giving this 4 stars out of 5 because though these socks did their job and were nice looking, comfortable, ect., they also deteriorated in quality a lot quicker than I thought they would. I had this set for about 6 months before holes start appearing in them at the toes and little patches started wearing thin. I've had a lot better socks from two years ago that are still going strong. But again, the the price you're paying for these socks, they're pretty decent and I would recommend buying them. I mean, in the end, you get what you pay for. Just keep that in mind.I bought these as my "not working, day off" socks for my DC and Globe shoe usage. I thought with the all around padding that it may be a bit too much, but they actually work really well. I even wore them a few time with my Converse and they did not make it difficult to get into them. When it gets warm outside, or you use them as advertised and do that sports stuff with them, they seem to still allow your feet to breath, so thus far they have not been uncomfortable in the hot climate as of yet. They do absorb water more than other sports socks I have had, as I have been in the rain with these on already. However, they feel amazing, they work really well when even just going for a walk, and they are padded enough to feel good but not enough to go up half a shoe size. I am a size 13 and they fit just as I imagine them to be. My ankles are a bit bigger than the amazing ankles of the mannequins in the image, but they did not get too tight and still felt nice. This is the second set of Under Armour socks I have purchased. The last set lasted a little over a year. 6 pairs with daily hard wear on them. So I decided to buy them again, after I got my wife to approve the expense. Had to show her the holes in my socks :)I got this set and they are comfortable, cool and barely show when I am wearing my tennis shoes. I feel like my feet breathe in these socks. I bought Large, and I wear either size 12 or 13 shoes.Only reason it didnt get 5 stars, is that it sheds lint quite a bit. I would have to say after the third or forth wash, I didnt have lint on my toes after taking them off.Great socks. Fit as expect (I take a size 13-14) and have no issues. They aren't too low or too high when I'm wearing sneakers. They are also very comfortable and seem to last longer then most other brand socks I haven't used in the past. And while they seem to be the same thickness of regular everyday socks (think Hanes or Fruit of the Loom), they haven't thinned out like other ones have after many months of use. So because of that I would def recommend them to others if they can be purchased at a reasonable price (which I haven't found to be difficult to do). Also, if you are familiar with other UA Socks, these are thicker and of better quality (IMO) then the HeatGear and Resistor socks so keep that in mind before you purchase. These socks do fit as expected. I have had them a few weeks so they have gone through many washes and have held up nicely. The only thing that I personally dislike is that they are extremely thick and HOT. I guess I wasn't expecting them to be as thick as they are (which is not entirely a bad thing because they will hold up longer) but I do not like my feet to be hot. I am hanging on to them to wear in the colder months because I do like them and I will not give a bad review for my personal preference, but I thought it was something that I would put out there for future consumers. My husband has a size, 10.5 E foot. These are high quality, thick socks that somehow don't overheat your feet. He can wear a hole in a lesser sock in 2 to 3 wears and so far, no sight of holiness yet. They do not slip off his heels, slip at the balls of the feet, scrunch under his arch, and the toe-seam is not in a spot that irritates the toes or nails. The Under Armour branding on the toe and heel are subtle and not overdone in the, "look what brand I'm wearing," sort of way. I will be buying more for him and looking up the ladies' version for myself.UPDATE! After almost a year in my rotation, I'm downgrading this from 4-stars to 2-stars. They do not stop pilling. You will leave black fluffy specs all over your carpets. It's a shame because the socks feel nice, but never stop shedding.Original review: I really like these socks. Fit great, soft, comfortable, a good height also. My only gripe is that they shed a lot... Meaning the socks leave a lot of cotton on the bottom of my foot, and along my carpet throughout the day.A bit better after a few washes.. But they look months old already. These socks say the material is cotton. For everyone's information who is interested and cares about the actual material, this is what is on the package label: 71% cotton, 21% polyester, and 2% spandex. This product is not as depicted. It is a lower rise than what is in the picture. DO NOT Wast your money if you are looking for ankle socks these are the low kind that roll down into your shoes. The elastic band on the top is also very lose. Very disappointed because I was buying based on the picture and have had and loved those socks in the past. These socks are expensive and a total waste of money.
